Me and swmbo found out that I will have a second assistant brewer come November 22nd :D We found out about a month ago now and are very excited. It didn't take nearly as long as last time(didn't get as much "practice" :() once we decided to start trying. We just went public last this week as far as facebook and all that after telling the necessary people in person. I'm interested to see how my boy reacts and how much more relaxed we will be having done it before. We got him a Big Brother Shirt as a way of telling people. Some people picked up right away, some, it just flew right over their heads!

Congrats IP! I am sure number 2 will be a lot smoother, hopefully for you both! My wife and I have been unsuccessful for almost 8 years now, now we are looking into adopting....

That's great! Give my congrats to your SWMBO, too.

You know what comes to my mind? Your little boy is so well behaved that you don't even KNOW what you might be in for! I had that with my second (they are 26 months apart). My daughter was so very easy and well behaved that I was under the illusion I was just a great mom. Then I had my son. OMG. He didn't sit still until he was 14, then he didn't move at all.

(You've met my son, and I think you would agree that he doesn't move).

Seriously, congrats and best wishes for a healthy and easy pregnancy for your SWMBO.

Oh god, he's spawning again!

Kidding! Congrats :D You can "practice" all you like now!

Thanks every one

Good luck with your adoption azscoob.

Yoop - That's what we're afraid of. People say, oh no you're just good parents. I say thank you and and proud that they think that, but oh man, what if it's a complete fluke and number 2 is a wild child. Then again preston could definitely be considered to be on that path nowadays :D This summer should be fun with a preggo and a 2 year old with no other interest than running outside.

Yep- that's what my brother (in Cleveland) is going through right now. Their first is now 7, but he was born complaint, intelligent and easy going. Very much like Preston. My brother and his wife practially knocked their shoulders out of the sockets, patting themselves on the back for being such wonderful parents who knew how to raise a child.

Then, Brandon came. Strong willed, stubborn, inpatient, headstrong, and very active. My sister-in-law says that he must take after my family, since her family isn't like that!

Congratulations!

Just curious, do you have to wait on them to be able to walk before they are much help with brewing?

Nope. Just put 'em in their carrier and use it to hold down the recipe sheet and keep it from blowing away.

Congrats!! :mug:

Thats Great, my wife and I are on our way to number 5. I can't imagine how life would be without a single one of them. Enjoy them while you can

Haha I think quite the opposite. They'd be more help before they can walk because you can just put them in the carrier and actually brew. Once they're walking, there's no brtewing without swmbo there to watch them. I'm excited about getting my rig switched to electric, then I won't have to worry as much. I can put a gate around everything and the setup won't be so wobbly:D.

I could not imagine 5! We are don't after 2. But yes, I couldn't imagine it without kids either.

Congrats! Enjoy them while you can, they grow way too fast. My son is 21 now, and I still can't believe he's grown up and living on his own.
This is no joke. Cliche, but no joke! Our first will be 2 in August and It's nuts. Wife started crying yesterday in the truck when that country song "You're gonna miss this" came on. Country music and pregnant women don't mix :D

Congrats dude. My next one is due the same day! My daughter is 2 right now. We were trying for about a year. Even had to go do the "tests" at various medical facilities. The month we stopped trying was the month we found out it worked.

OP - congrats!

azscoob - spend time around new babies. My eldest sister adopted after 11 years of marriage. #2 sister was eights years in. Within 3 months, they were both pregnant! Got a niece and nephew three weeks apart.

Congratulations! You do know, though, now you have to buy 2 of everything. (Not the needs, just the wants).
Poor number two will just have lots of hand me downs. :D

That's awesome. We were trying for about 5 months with one and nothing, then we decided to stop trying and BOOM. I think it's just the stress that prevents it. Remove the stress and Boingo!

OP - congrats!
thanks

Congrats! My 2nd assistant is due Dec. 5th. :)
Congrats

Babies Rock! Congrats.
Thanks

Oooohh JFK day..... hope that isn't an omen!
