My cold crash malfunctioned and fell well below… well you know. I am now the “not so proud owner” of a barelywine slushy. What happens to beer when it freezes? Is there any hope of recovery? Please help.

Don''t know where you're from but in the US that's known as illegal distilling. Works great on a russian stout.

I had that happen to an IPA. It was fine, but I got a ton of sludge when the keg kicked. Not sure why. just warm it up in your basement and it will be fine.

I second this. Just let it warm back up if you didn't already.. once the slush (water) is reintegrated it should be OK.
