As if Suarez couldn't get any better, I stumbled upon a little Smoked BBQ spot about 10 mins from the tap room called Papa's Best Batch. Guy cooking banging food in an old airstream next to a farm field overlooking an orchard and mountain. It's as awesome as it sounds.

I second this. I was there on Saturday at about 4:15, and got the second to last helping of brisket, some potato salad, and some deviled eggs. It was ******* delicious. I would have probably ordered more food, but I made the very sound decision of having a pretzel at Suarez before, so stomach space was limited.

Yes! We found this place last time we went up as well. The smoked salmon was insane. However, I understand they are only open through the end of October apparently.

This + pretzels = sounds like it'd fill me up for days :)

Clearly this means I need to go sooner than later.

I'm overdue anyway. I haven't been since the end of July, which is a joke. They're going to forget who I am! gasp.gif

Did anyone else notice that Suarez edited their weekly Facebook beer availability to post to remove the "on deck // CALL TO MIND VINTAGE" portion of the post?

Shamefully must admit that I just tried Suarez for the first time. Had the Palatine Pils and feel pretty confident in saying I could drink nothing but that from May-September every year and be quite happy. Perfect. Absolutely perfect beer.

Now on the to-do list is visiting the brewery.
