Stupid mistake

Stupid me, I bottled my Extract wheat beer the other day and really paid attention to the bottles and made sure they got cleaned and sterilized. Sterilized the tubing as well as the inside of the bottle wand. Went above and beyond due to my last bottle batch being screwed up. I got about halfway thru and realized I never hit the outside of the bottling wand with Starsan. Damnit boy, what were you thinking? I continued with the bottling as I was already over half way done. The want sat in Alkaline Brewery wash for about 20 to 30 mins and I push liquid cleaner thru the inside at least 4 or 5 times. I sterilized the inside of it again at least 3 or 4 times, but be darned if I remembered the outside. I am hopeful that the cleaner went above and beyond, but we will see. Thankfully this batch was all a bunch of leftover stuff and did not cost me much.

fermented wort (beer) has alcohol in it (usually above 4 %) and is pretty forgiving. more so then cooled unfermented wort. i wouldnt sweat it.

If the outside was clean, even if it wasn't santitized, I'm betting you'll be fine.

Charlie Talley (inventor of Star San) said if it's clean it's good. Sanitizer is insurance. I really like the insurance, but you really should be good this one time. Hopefully.
