I am fermenting my first stout. When I keg it what psi should I force keg it at with co2. The am I reading charts right about 8 psi over co2 for serving pressure.

Thanks as always.

Cant contribute much here because I haven't even kegged my first batch, but, don't think I'll be force kegging (as in setting to 30psi, rolling). I dont want to overcarb. I've heard the best method is set it to serving pressure and let sit for 4-6 days and equalize on its own as a set it and forget it style of force carbing.

But if you choose to force carb there are charts on the net.
Here's one for the set it and forget it method.

I use the brewers friend link for calculating CO2 volumes. I keg, turn my PSI up to about 30 for 3 or 4 days, then turn it down to serving pressure and let it sit for about a week.
