Storing Unused Grains

I recently purchased a few 5 lbs bags from GFHB dot com. How long will the grains stay fresh after the bag has been unopened? How are others storing them?

I put mine in the bottom of my fridge for lack of anyother solution. Thoughts?

Uncrushed still I assume if unopened and from GFHB - in that case I've kept uncrushed barley in an airtight bin for 6+ months no problem, pretty sure it can go quite a bit longer than that. I would assume these grains are similar. If you need to open the bags you could get a few airtight bins, that's saved me money and ease by being able to buy in bulk

Sealed up tight some way, unmilled should last years....

If crushed, seal tightly and use within a couple months.

Put them in the freezer. If uncrushed and in airtight bags, it will last years.
