Hey,

Suppose I wanted to do 5 gallons of gatoraid from powder. Is there a way to dispense it from the kegerator without carbonating it? Putting pressure on it will carbonate it over time... so I assume the answer would be some sort of pump? How do they do wine, etc normally?

Turn the gas on long enough to get it to flow and then turn it off and vent when you are done serving? I would think that would not carbonate it. Just a guess though.

Yep, I can think of three options:

1. VERY low serving pressure and storing with little to no head pressure
2. Nitrogen
3. Argon

I suppose you could pump the stuff with a beer engine or something. Seems like a lot of trouble to me, but it's not my kegerator.

Would gravity feed in addition to the low serving pressure work? At that point the co2 should just be replacing what's being drained out from gravity, rather than actively being used to push the liquid out.

I'm only thinking of this because when I was doing a keg transfer of starsan, I just popped the tops to both and let gravity do the work for me while I went and watched tv.

Really only workable if your keg is higher up which can be done in many situations such as on a table, but I suppose harder if it's in a keezer/kegerator.

Put this next to your kegerator and call it a day. :mug:

I think if you use 1/4 line to the shank and keep the line as short as possible and use real low pressure( 2psi )it should work. If it does develop any carbonation it will be so slight it probably won't be noticeable
