Thanks for the heads up Sonny. I'm kirk, been brewing for almost 2 years. Great to see another club trying to take off. It was sad to see the club go under, Mark did some great things with it. (Hope to see more of Brewing As Art). Monday should work for me, around 6.

Mark can't attend, but we will keep him informed.

Quick Question. Where does everyone live? I live in Grasmere on Hylan Blvd.

I'll probably end up attending the craft beer fest as well.

Slightly off topic. What do you guys think of my new toy? Finished building the collar this weekend.

Looks great would love to have one like that. You have all of those taps full

Not yet. Only the first two. IPA and Red Ale. My next investment is in a beergas system. Nitrogen and stout faucet. I've been craving a breakfast stout and want to have the correct system for dispensing.

You got a good jump start on on filling the taps on that bad boy. Funny you have a red ale on tap i plan on brewing a batch soon. What kind of breakfast stout are you looking to do are you looking to do like a blueberry stout

I'm not a big fan of clones, mostly because I feel if I'm going to buy ingredients for a recipe, it might as well be original, or a recipe developed by another homebrewer. However, I LOVE founder's breakfast stout, so I was considering following one of the clone recipes on HBT. Not sure yet though.

Holiday Beverage had a new mead on the shelf a few days ago when I was there. It's infused with coffee. Looked interesting, and the price was very good ($21), but I was already spending too much on beer to add that on.

Every time i walk in that place i walk out spending more money then i planed on walking in I would like to try that mead sounds different with the coffee in it

Has anyone tried the Growler filling station at Champs Beverage? I've filled up a few times there. Had an aged oak porter from Samuel Adams, and Allagash Black.

Hi all, another Staten Islander checking in. I'm Elliott and I live in Annadale off of Hylan (near Blue Heron park). I've only been home brewing since January and am wanting to learn more. I am doing all grain brewing in a 1 gallon, but my next batch should be 5 gallons already. I'm pretty much known as the office beer snob and put in charge of the office kegerator (I work at a startup - we get to enjoy things like this ;)) and luckily work a block away from Rattle N Hum where you will find me usually once a week. I grew up in Belgium and am primarily a fan of Tripel's and Quad's - but also love IPA's and pretty much anything craft beer related.

Hope to meet you all at a future meetup or brew club event!
