Hey, I stumbled on this site and now I am hooked! Thanks for all of the good information.
I have a few questions I need help with.
1st: I was told that I should be doing my primary fermentation in a brew pale that does not have a spigot. I was told that the spigot can hold bacteria that may infect my brew. Is this true? Can I just go to my local hardware store and get a 5 Gallon bucket? How do I know if the plastic is ok to use?
2nd: I picked up some extra Corn Sugar at my HBS and want to kick up the alcohol in my next batch. When do I add the extra sugar? How much do I add?
3rd: Any tips on making my own immersion chiller?
