Splitting the beer atom since 1996
Hi. Probably nothing to worry about, but everyone says this should be hard, it wasn't . . . .
Took a 12oz bottle of Bell's Two-hearted ale. Saved/recapped 1/4" of the bottom of the bottle. Made a 1.050 wort w/ DME, cooled to ~75-80 F. Poured into the 2HA bottle, swished, poured into a 22oz bottle w/ more wort. Shook vigorously. Put in an airlock, let sit on the kitchen counter. Took 3 days, but finally activity. Seems to have finished a couple of days ago, a fair amount of material on the bottom of the bottle. Put into the fridge.
I plan to repitch into a growler with more wort tomorrow. Plan to brew Thursday.
Anyone forsee issues?
Dave
