Any Houston area beer enthusiasts try some yet? I was lucky enough to snag a six pack from a Spec's in Baytown and had a bottle last night. We had a pretty good laugh because my buddy thinks that St. Arnold generally under-hops stuff. Their regular IPA tastes a lot like a pale ale to us! Sure enough, we tasted what was supposed to be a Double IPA and said "hey, now that's a good regular IPA!" Oh well, I guess the world can't cater to us hop-heads.

It's really good, If they dropped the price to $10 and offered it year round I would buy it regularly. It's the first of the series that is there own recipe. I also agree Elissa is way light on hops.

Oh yeah, $18 for a six pack is pretty insane. But I agree with you, I think it turned out well - the head they got on that thing is ridiculous!

I think it was pretty good got 2 sixers the other day. Houston is getting a new brewery by one of the founders of flying dog that just might tend to us hopheads in Houston! The brewery will be called Karbach brewing.

Get it at HEB!!!! $14. Save yourself a few bucks.

I drank a bottle last night and think that it carries the price tag very well. It's just as good (if not better) than a lot of the other IPAs and DIPAs that come from out of state, Maharaj, 120 Min, Squall, Ruination etc....

And when you consider that the price of those can be anywhere from $4 - $12 per bottle.... $15 for a glorious 72 fluid ounces of hop-tacular goodness is pretty darn reasonable.

I was lucky enough to snag a pint of this poured from a firkin this weekend.
I've been pretty underwhelmed with most of St. Arnold's output, but this was damn good. Wish I had another right now...

Yeah, they did a really nice job with this one. I had the chance to buy a single or six pack and thought "DIPA, how good can it be compared to xyz?" so I went with the single. I should have bought a sixer.
