Installed everything according to the instructions, and connected everything... pump to module, and module to power cable. Turned on pump. Nothing happens. I set my desired temp, the “working” light flashes, and the temp of my liquid shows on the display, but the pump never kicks in. It is placed in plenty of water, don’t know why it’s not working.

Any experience with the FTSs, and know what might be the problem?

The only time my FTS pumps stopped working is when they got glogged. I had a frozen water bottle label that disintegrated in a cooler full of water and it stopped two pumps. I know, I should have taken the label off first. I took the pumps apart, found the problem, put them back together and have never had a problem since.

It was placed in and turned on right away, so I’m not sure what could be clogging it. Thanks for the heads up about labels, though... very good to know!

Just happened to think... could there be a factory-set time delay? I only left it on for about a minute before I turned it off

Fixed my own dang problem, that was it haha! Went into advanced settings mode and changed the delay. It was factory-set for 5 minutes. That’s in case you’re both cooling and heating with the pump, so that the motor doesn’t cycle too long in between ... something like that.

Sure am glad I figured that one out.

I know this thread is old, but maybe this will help someone. I just lost 6 hours because I was I was a dumb ass. I've had the controller and pump and have used it successfully for many batches over the past 4 years at least. I just got the upgrade kit (with heating pad and new controller) and the cooling pump would not kick on. Took the pump apart and did find crud but did not solve the issue. After more more troubleshooting with volt tester, etc. decided the pump must be bad so pulled out a DC aquarium pump I had laying around, cut and spliced cords so I could connect to the controller, but still no joy. Gave up and separately rigged up another pump with a timer just to have a way to cool, and decided I'd have to order a new pump. After a couple hours (and a couple beers) and running across this thread, I remembered that, yes, there is a programmed delay. So I just now re-spliced and attached the pump, set the delay to 0 and, what do you know, now it's working. Totally had forgotten about the delay setting. So, hopefully no one else will go to such extremes over something simple, but easy to overlook. BTW, I find by setting the delay (the PT setting) to 10 works much better and avoids the over chilling I was getting before. Will see how it works now with the dual temp control.
