I've been tossing around the idea of taking a smack pack of yeast, splitting into 4 sanitized containers, and making starters out of each to get more milage out of the original pack.
Has anyone done this, and if so, what was your process and results?
When working with small samples of yeast, what is the process for stepping up to get proper propagation?
Can I simply take a few cups of wort and expect it to work?
