I have another pumpkin ale that will be getting kegged this coming weekend. For me, pumpkin beers are all about the spice. I like to really taste those spices. Not a hint....I mean I like to know it's got spices in there. My question is, when taste it before kegging/bottling, is it OK to add more spice to the keg if I feel it needs it?

I bottle and added spices to the water I boiled my priming sugar in to give it more spicyness.

I havent tasted one yet but while bottling it tasted great.

The sky is the limit man! If you want to add spices to your beer at every stage it's your beer and your call. As long as you remember proportions and follow sanitary procedures you'll be fine.

I've added more spices to my xmas beer and pumpkin beers at bottling by mixing it in with the priming solution. It's always turned out well. If your kegging then add it in when you rack the beer to the keg. I'd boil it in a little water, maybe 12-16oz and add it in.
