I used to tip it into my old bottling bucket at the edge of the garden with the tap open to dry out before throwing it all in the bin. I was instructed by SWMBO to stop doing this when the dog found it and ate his fill then spent the next two days crapping foul smelling flapjacks all over my lawn!

Now I stick it in the composter and shout at the dog any time he goes near it.

I just pile them out by the hop vines, a batch a month isn't going to help 3 acres much.
 
I took abunch of spent grains and hops and put them into the bottom of my tomato plants this year. All I can tell you is they are doing great and taste wonderful. Look out when I go to all grain....lol
 
I through them in to a plastic bag in the trash. I don't want javalinas at my house.
