I have just recently discovered Speidel ferm chambers at my LHBS and was wondering if anyone has any experience with them. I have recently converted to 10 gal batches as well as all grain and could use the extra ferm space. Are they worth the money? Are they air tight? Any help would be appreciated.

I use the 60L for wine and love it. I got a 30L for Christmas that I use for beer, it's a nice size because I don't need a blow off for 5-6 gallon batches.

I have been using the 60L for 10 gallon batches for a few months now. I love it, much easier to clean than carboys and have only had one fermentation that hit the airlock.

I haven't used one.... but I got money set aside in my pocket to purchase two! The wide mouth would make harvesting yeast much easier..... not to mention the ease of cleaning!

by 'ferm chambers' do you mean fermenters? they make a range of fermenters, from the plastic barrel thingies to plastic conicals and weird egg-shaped dealies, as well as stainless cylinders and cylindroconicals. if you mean the plastic barrel shaped fermenters there is a whole thread on them.
