I had a guy I used to work with lend me his jet bottle washer/rinser when I first started brewing. Like this:

Trouble was it did not work with my sink faucet setup. I have one of those pullout sprayer faucet combos. I could connect it with an adapter but the design of those washers is that they are mounted on the faucet from underneath. With my setup it would be hanging freely. I wil try and up some picture of the faucet later if that would help. I know jet washers are pretty inexpensive but since I need a special adaptation maybe it would be cheaper for me to make one? Any thoughts?

thanks

how about one of these?

Any good? It is all plastic so I dunno about that. Anyone use one?

That is the one that I have and it is a great piece of equipment, it works great. It is made of a very sturdy plastic. I used it extensively when I bottled all of my beers. I still use it for rinsing out my Better-Bottles and my tubing.

The other type you pictured puts a lot of strain on your faucet after repeatedly pressing the bottles down on it.

Newbie here, not meaning to hijack this thread.
The double bottle washer, does the water shut off fully so you don't get a blast in the face or is it one of those things that work fine for awhile and then goes south.
The brew store was telling me it was a great unit but although he didn't lead me astray....yet, I'm allways after second opinions......Mike

I've been using mine for over a year now, and it still has a positive shut off. That's not to say that I haven't accidentally pushed down on it and shot water in my face, up to the ceiling, etc. :drunk:

Thanks John, I'll think I'll try it on the next brew.
As far as shooting water up to the ceiling, face etc. I can see that happening, no doubt I'll end up doing the same or else end up blowing the faucet neck off the taps.
Thanks again...Mike

Well the double one should work with the right adapters. I have a gift certificate for midwest homebrewing supply and they have this one. I just wanted to hear opinions on how good it was.

here is my setup.

This one would be ideal sitting in the sink. I have to get some adapters for a chiller anyways.

Anybody experience water hammer when using these bottle washers..?
I've heard extreme cases of pipes breaking from the shutoff valve slamming closed..

Is there that much pressure or is it not a concern...?
