Hey folks,
My lhbs doesn't have Special B.
Would Crystal 160 be a decent substitute in a weizenbock, or is Special B...well...special?

Special B is a product from Dingemans and is 140-155L. So that should be fine.

The process used to make the malt will be similar, but it will be somewhat different just as two 160L products from 2 maltsters would be different.

Same is true for Victory Malt from Briess, it's a trademark product, but it's basically the same stats as Biscuit malt, which is a generic term
