I ended up with one Firestone Spartenburg keg in my last purchase, and as anyone who has received one of these knows, they're different.

The gas tube is a plastic/nylon tube, but mine didn't have any sort of o-ring on it. Is this typical? The fit is extremely tight, so I can see it not needing one. However, if it does need one, then I can put something on there.

Anyone have experience with this?

I got one like that too. It did have an o ring under the dip tube. After much searching I couldn't find replacement dip tube. No longer made. I did read that drilling out the post will allow for the metal tube. I did this and all worked great.

Thanks for the response. I've read about drilling out the post. I'm putting in an order soon, so I'll just order a stainless tube and drill it out. The stainless ones are less than $4 anyways.
