Jeremiah and I will be coming together, and I don't think he knows his way, correct?

Also, is there anything you would like us to bring?

I am happy to say I have to bail on this. We finally are under contract on my house that has been on the market for a while. I need to use Sat. to get my stuff in order, boxing up the old house, and finding the new one.

Best of luck to all that are brewing.

Sorry to hear you'll miss it but I guess a house is a little more important than brewing. After all without our house where would we brew???

Unfortunately, I may need to follow a similar path to Ryan... I'm stuck in Altoona and have been working 7:30AM - 9:00PM every day this week so far and we still aren't on track to meet our deadline. Looks like some Saturday AM work here will be in order... then I have the couple hour drive home and get ready to do it all again starting Monday (coming back to Altoona )

Hopefully something changes and I can show up, but if not, have fun brewing without me.

My apologies...

Oh well, I guess I'll just go ahead and brew your recipe without you. I hate it when work gets in the way of real life.

Tell me about it... Only the third Saturday I'll have had to work in 4 years with this firm (which is great in public accounting) and it just has to be this day.

Glad to see you are going to brew the recipe. I plan on brewing it as well. If I feel up to it, I'll do it Sunday, but I will probably just want to relax and drink beer by then...

In the event I work a 24 hour shift or something and can make it Saturday are their directions somewhere? Or can you mail them to my email (should be in my CP)?

Thanks-
Steve

How long are you guys brewing today. I can't make it to brew since I am still out of town, but may be leaving here around Noon which could put me in the lancaster area by 200-230...

I'm sure we'll still be at it by then. We have two AG batches going right now, but most of the folks aren't here yet.

Evets: Thanks for putting this together and hosting it. . .it was great to meet everyone there this morning and get to watch a bit of the process, I wish I could have stayed longer. Hope you guys stayed relatively dry, until the sun came out this afternoon.

A good time was had, and I thank you, Steve. Hopefully we'll get together again, soon.

Now, only 35 gallons of Imperial Oatmeal Stout to go...

Wow, what a day! I had a great time. Thanks, so much to everyone who came. We all met some great new friends and brewed a lot of great beers, as well. I'll be doing this again, for sure. I'll try to get some pix up soon.

imasickboy, davefj40, pava, and Harrison, if you're lurking about,
It was super nice to meet you guys and I'm looking forward to meeting with you all again soon.

Evets,

I had a great time yesterday and glad you put this together. My Hennepin clone and Wit are fermenting away very actively downstairs right now. As I mentioned yesterday evening I'm having a pig roast towards the end of Sept at my place here North of York. All the HBT members as well as the Lancaster Homebrewers club is welcome to attend. All I ask is that everyone brings a covered dish and of course some homebrew or good micros. Last year was the only year my neighbors and I did not have a pig roast in 14 years. Time to revive the tradition and it is always a great time. I'll let people know the exact date in the next few weeks.

hey Warrior, i'm alway's down for a pig roast. i should have something to bring beer wise by then. Evet's, thanks for having this. sometime i will have one at my house, i have a nice barn we can brew inside in case of bad weather :)

i'm hoping i'll be brewing this weekend if all goes well. had to put a 24' pool in for the wife's family this morning. i'm the only handy guy in the whole extended family.

I guess that makes you quite popular with the family, not to mention keeps you busy!

Sorry I couldn't make it as mentioned. It pains me to read how fun it sounds from the above from Warrior's post...

I'm back in Altoona already, again... Boooooooooooooooooooooo.

Didn't get to brew my ESB Sunday either... Did you brew it Evets? This weekend is out too as I have two graduation parties to attend. Grr...

Yeah, I brewed it. Hit the numbers pretty much right on. The only thing is I think I forgot the whirlflock tab. It had been a long day by that time, if you know what I mean.:drunk:
I'll try to get some pics up soon.

I forgot the Irish moss in both of my beers. The Wit does not really need it but the Saison could've, oh well I let it go longer in the secondary.

The beers are pretty much done fermenting now. That Ommegang yeast was an active and fast fermenter. It does put off some funky aromas when fermenting though, this is my first time making any Belgian style beers. I think my next will be a belgian dubbel on top of the Hennepin clone yeast slurry.
