Not sure if I'm posting in the right forum but I have been trying to find some info on making a sour and haven't found much online. I'd like to make a rasberry or cherry sour. Trying to go for a rich red color. Any suggestions?

This is a good recipe to follow for your first sour. Super easy and kinda lets you get the hang of how the process works:

I followed this for my first sour and ended up with a nice red color after racking it onto frozen raspberries.

Add raspberries = red color.

Raspberries are easy to find - cheap and in every freezer section. Tart cherries are tough - hard to find and really expensive when you do. That said, Framboise < Kriek in my opinion.

I've been researching sours for 2 years now and I"m just now beginning to feel like I know what's happening. Good luck!
