Hi,

Does anyone have any ideas about what sort of water you'd want in a sour beer? My first homebrewed sour will be a kriek, and then I'd like to do a geuze.

I think I am planning on keeping it fairly soft.

I would copy this over to the sour beer forum. You'll likely get better answers there. I've brewed a couple sours, but alas I don't have notes on the water I used.

I wouldnt target specific city water as you're unsure if they treat it or not. i'd prolly go closer to 25 Na and 50 for SO4 & Cl
