I live in Finland and yesterday I went to a bar that was selling the Brooklyn beer "sorachi ace" with expiration date of mid December, meaning 3 months from the expiration date. The beer seemed to have been in the fridge for a while already and temperature was in correct range but lots of particles were floating all over from top to bottom of the beer.

I just want to know what exactly causes this and if taste is affected? Also, if taste is affected, what off-flavors can result from that problem?

I haven't had this beer personally but I see it's an unfiltered & bottle conditioned saison. not at all unusual to find floating bits of yeast & or the various spices they use in that style ime.

Definitely not uncommon to find yeast clumps and other floaties in an older bottle-conditioned beer.
