Hi. Made a couple yeast starters tonight. I am careful to sanitize everything. This includes spraying my wyeast packs with star San. Whatever it is it's a real small piece. Maybe 2 mm by 2 mm. I have no idea what it could be. It's not the foil I use to cover the erlenmyer. Maybe it's a piece of the nutrient bag inside the packet. Don't know. What do you guys and gals think?

How does the starter smell? Could it be a clump of DME or possibly just a yeast clump.. Do you have any pics?

Just piched and I noticed it on the stir plate. I'll update.
