Well, some days just plain suck. This morning my wife's cousin was maulded and killed by a jaquar at the Denver Zoo. She was an animal keeper and was doing something in the cage. I am really tired of watching those I love go through pain and lose.

Please remember the Pfaff family in your thoughts and prayers.

Man, BP, I just saw that story online, and I'm so very sorry. Shocking to go from reading a story online to coming here and realizing how close it hits to home.

My thoughts and prayers go with you and yours.

She worked at the zoo and loved it. I guess the cat just attacked and that was it. I imagine it will get lots of media play. I don't know. Her poor parents and brothers. She is a twin and had a freaky resemblence to Sandra Bullock. Anyway, I am rambling. Too many brews in an effort to keep up with the other solo drinkers on this forum.

Where did you see it online?

Oh, geez, I'm so sorry. It's all over the place online- my husband just mentioned it right before I clicked on this link. Of course, I didn't know who it was- I don't even know if they mentioned her name. Oh, I"m so sorry for your family! What a terrible shock. We will keep the family in our thoughts and prayers.

BP, what a run of bad luck lately. I never know what to say in these situations, but hang in there and we'll be thinking about you and yours.

They're beautiful animals to be sure, but still wild in the end. We have wolves at our zoo here and I was talking to the Director who I've known for years and he can't even get in the enclosure with them. They get very agressive when males come in for some reason. There are 2 women who take care of them and that's it. No one else allowed.

She obviously loved the cat and what she was doing, otherwise she wouldn't have been there. Doesn't minimize the loss tho. Again my condolences to your wife and the rest of your family.

Man, I'm sorry to hear that.
This happened in my own back yard and I didn't even know it until I read this thread.
My heart goes out to your family.

I really sorry for your loss. My family frequents lots of zoos and the keepers always seem so happy with their chosen path in life. It breaks my heart to read stories like this.

I just logged online and my homepage has links to news stories. I saw that one and thought "how terrible". Then I log on here and learn this. I'm terribly sorry BP.

Geez, Tom . I don't really know what to say. Life is really strange sometimes. I guess God is the only one who really knows what's going on.

Gosh, BrewPastor, I dont know what to say. My condolences to your family. Hang in there.
