Thought some people may enjoy some of my brew day videos from the first two sessions on my new stand. The stand i'm using actually comes from Marcus at www.brewersequipment.com - he built the stand, i worked on the pots and we harmoniously made one bad brewing machine. I know i always like watching how others make their beer - so I figured i'd share!

Cheers!

Very nice system and I enjoyed watching both vids! One question, what is the program you use to monitor the temp in your kettles? Something you wrote, freeware, etc? I too, am Mac based..

Thanks!

Nice videos. Awesome system. Pretty sure I can find this info somewhere, but I was wondering if you could just tell me? How would I hook up my computer to my thermometers, etc? Beersmith? I really haven't gotten into software yet, so I really don't know.

Thanks for checkin them out guys - so to answer both question - what you're looking for is what i found w/ the BCS-460 (http://www.embeddedcontrolconcepts.com/). Marcus at brewersequipment.com actually called me after i placed my original order for a more standard 'brutus-10' stand w/ the love controllers and suggested that i take a look at the ECC website to see if i'd be interested in him installing that instead of the big bulky control panel and individual temp controllers. I like the idea of it so i went with it. So all the temp probess, gas valves, hot surface ignitors (once I receive them), march pumps, and my laptop all run through the BCS-460 box that is inside that larger grey protective box on the stand. So i get the cool digital interface that i can use my laptop with or even my iPad once i get around to hooking up a small wireless hotspot to the stadnd - but it allows you to program an entire brew day so you can be as hands on (or off) as you want.

I'll be working on the stand section of my page so I can detail all the different pieces of hardware and where I got them... Thanks again for checking the vids out - let me know if you have any other questions!
