Just started mashing my Fugwagon Porter, in honor of Lagwagon day today. The recipe is loosely based on Port O' Palmer from How to Brew, but with several of my own tweaks. And using fuggles to complete the name

Long weekend up in Canada. Getting together with a buddy on Monday and brewing two 10 gal batches, a saison and an American wheat

So started up my batch last night. Ended up with 5.5g of 1.088 wort. Usually I'd dilute with water (sorry beer Gods), then parti gyle a second. Not this time! Took the second runnings this morning - still smelled like good mashing - ran the numbers with gravity and adding it to what's already in the fermenter and I'm thrilled. 48L (target 46) at the target OG 1.056. Ran the numbers, 83% efficiency, my highest to date! :rockin::ban:

Brew on!

Kegging a Bo Pils today and brewing an Oktoberfest tomorrow with the Pils yeast slurry. Fine tuning these two recipes and brewing them about every other week.

brewed up a blonde ale, thinking about adding strawberries in a few weeks. Just hit every brewers favorite part of the brew day, clean up. Thought i'd relax and enjoy a home brew before the scrub down

Just put my 1st lager to bed. A nice amber lager. Here it is boiling away. Also, my 1st evening brew. I'm usually an early morning brewer. ImageUploadedByHome Brew1400381418.908661.jpg

I WANT to be brewing Cream of Three Crops this weekend, but I've got 6 fermentors full, and no place to put another batch. So I'm checking a lot of gravity readings this morning and seeing what can start cold conditioning.

So I can't be a vegetable today (it's raining here) I am preparing to do my California Common batch #1 (with us-05) and later this month will do batch #2 (with wlp810 San Francisco Lager). Gonna start experimenting with differing ingredients for effect.

I love science!
