Not much snow here, just cold and wind. What we do get comes in the form of "clippers" every few days, dumping an inch or so. It's not enough for the plows to come out, so it just gets packed down by traffic. Many of the streets have bumpy layers of hard-packed ice.

And more coming Tuesday.

The roof of that house was drawn during a particularly strong stroke of architectural genius!

Last night they said light dusting this morning; it started snowing while I drove to work, and now they are calling for 1-3 inches by end of day and 3-6 Thursday. Argggg! At least it's snow and not 2" of sleet and freezing rain like last week. (Welcome to a NC winter)

Good god... I think it is melting a little. I saw icicles dripping and next week forecast could be 30+ degrees. Come on baby! Gotta move some of this snow around so I can start brewing outside for the first time :D

Yes! We are starting a warming trend too! Mid to high 20s starting next week.

They are alleging that it will warm into the 20s this weekend, and maybe 30s in another week.

February is just January, part II. I never expect things to start melting until way into March. St. Patrick's Day is usually the turning point, and after that the snow will soon be gone. But we also have April snows, which I don't mind, as they tend to melt quickly.

It won't be long.

It's freezing here! I had to take off my flip flops and put on my lined crocs today because it's like 65 degrees with a hefty north wind. I even had to put on a sweatshirt to walk the dog. I might have to find a pair of socks if this keeps up.

It is supposed to be 78 by Sunday, though. :cross:

I think it's somewhere in the upper 70's here right now.

It actually got down into the 40's last week.....for 2 days.

That's South Florida winter.

Must be time for another picture of Bob holding today's catch. Thanks Yooper you know how to kick a girl when she's down.

YES! WHOOOOO BABY!

This weekend is my daughter's 2nd Bday party... going to be grilling up whole chickens in flip flops, board shorts and knocking back a few of my famous Malibu, pineapple juice and Grenadine cocktails. Might get the slip and slide out for the kids.

Better get that AC hooked up by Tuesday, yeesh.

"This weekend is my daughter's 2nd Bday party... going to be grilling up whole chickens in flip flops, board shorts..."

Won't the flip flops and shorts give the chickens off-flavors?

Funny, I was wondering who the first person to point that out would be.

+10 internets for you.

Now that we hit ~30F degrees, the majority of my 'deathcicles' melted or started to melt. I no longer have to approach my house in fear of being impaled, so at least I have that going for me.

Yeah, those impalercicles make funny noises when they fall from the mancave. Snow slowly melting the last couple days with temps going up through this week.

I didn't have to shovel the roof once this winter. So, no ice built up to dangerous levels.

Replaced the radiator in the Jeep yesterday and then busted some packed snow in my driveway until I got tired of it. I didn't do much shoveling this year either. I was lazy so I drove on the snow too much and packed down where the tires rolled.

Also cleared the short path to the grill and shoveled under it where the tank goes. We were out of gas all winter, but then I had to buy a tank to run my salamander when I changed the Power Steering return line on the wife's car. So I have gas to cook with now!
