I switched the input an output when I wired it in a hurry last night trying to get the spare fridge going for a lager. When I plugged it in the breaker blew. Now it is wired right (I think) and it will light up and let me change all the settings, but it won't power the output. Did I smoke it? Is there a wiring diagram somewhere I can follow?

If the breaker blew your Love is more than likely okay. Check your parameters, (if you have power to the unit, and the digital display lights up, it is a good sign.) it is possible that your controller just needs a few minutes to kick on. Depending on how your parameters are set, (when I popped a breaker wiring mine, I had a min run time set, and that wouldn't allow my controller to kick on within a certain time constraint.) in my case 60 minutes.

IMO best thing to if you are having trouble with your fridge/freezer cycling properly, reset all parameters to factory settings (noting your current settings if you were happy with them for your current/previous application) and giving your fridge about 10 minutes to restart in-case of a short cycle, or what have you.

FWIW, I have a ferm chamber that was short cycling due to my probe placement and the fact that I had nothing fermenting in it at the time. The compressor sensor which stops it from overheating and possibly freezing was stopping the compressor form starting, which (thank goodness) made a funny noise that I heard (ferm chamber being in my bedroom :)), I unplugged and allowed it to sit for 24 hours. Plugged it back in changed hysterisis, and probe placement, the bad boy is still humming, and the fridge (mini) has to be about 10-15 years old.

So more than likely you are okay, unless you fried the relay, which I highly doubt, bu it is a possibility.

Re-wire properly, reset all parameters to default, and cross your fingers.

Good Luck!

p.s. if you are interested in a wiring diagram, and some helpful info for the love controller you can check out this link HERE. Scroll to about half-way down the page for the schematic, and wiring instructions.

Love controllers have a delay built in on start up. Give it ten- twenty minutes and then see if it sends output

Shwew. I will check all this out again tonight. I was a little hacked off. Thanks.

Update. After correct wiring and checking the settings (and being a little patient) the controller works fine.
