Had a phenomenal brew day today. Brewed up West Coast Pale Ale clone that I have been working on.
Even managed to get a personal best 87.5% mash efficiency..
Had everything planned out to the letter so that I could relax and get some garage / spring cleaning done at the same time.
Only mistake was taking the preboil gravity of 1.044.
I had a slight senior moment and thought it was supposed to be 1.054 (the expected post boil gravity).
Due to my written brewplan, I had a contingency plan in place and added DME to get it up to 1.053.
Took the post boil gravity before it occurred to me.
So my 5.6% is now gonna be in the mid to high 6% range.
Think a little bit of extra dry hop will help???
