Was it golden?

You're not going to get a lot of aeration, especially if you boiled it afterwards. You really need to pump or shake air or O2 directly into cool wort to get good aeration.

no after wort was cool 90 or so I used the shower to spray 1.5 gl of tap water to top off fermenter to 5gl of wort b4 I dry pitched my yeast . I had good activity in the air lock 6hrs later and now 2 days going strong.

If the shower head was clean, it's not a bad idea. However, most shower heads have calcium, lime and rust buildups on them which can make them a bit on the funky side.

I used my showerhead for my last larger and it worked well. Started fermenting in a couple of hours and it was very fierce.

Seems to me like it would taste like bathroom. Water from the bathroom always taste strange to me.

Consider this: the saturation dissolved oxygen at 20 deg C (68 F, a good approximation of tap water) is 9 mg/L. If you add 1.5 gallons of water that is presumably saturated with oxygen to a total of 5 gallons of wort that was mostly devoid of oxygen before the make-up water you get a total DO = 2.7 mg/L. That's pretty low.
