I always love to hear (and see) what other people like to do in their free time. It says alot about the person, and gives me new ideas of things I might want to try. Of course, homebrewing is one of my obsessions as I'm sure it's yours as well...

But what do you do with your free time when you aren't brewing?

I'll start it off...

Shooting.jpg

I love to shoot guns, all shapes and sizes... been doing it since I was a kid. Here I'm shooting a Glock 32 - .357 Sig.

The way I love fiddling with and making brewing equipment, I like to do the same with my bicycles. Then my wife and I use them to tour different parts of the world.

Bunch more where that came from. Just got back in from a ride actually. 15 miles, from my front door and back. 2,500 feet of climbing bliss. And of course the same amount of downhill, rocky bliss. :D

I have that same Social D shirt, ABG.

I used to have a Mustang that I enjoyed driving.
Nowadays, I'm a new parent.

ABG- gotta love fishin with your mutt. Another one of my favorite things to do. ;)

We had to coax him into the boat, it was hilarious. He hates water. To get to that lake, we literally hacked straight up the side of cliff because we couldn't find the trail that looped around. He loved it, running back and forth between me and one friend, and the third guy who kept falling behind cursing us!

When I saw this thread, I was like "I bet I'm the first to post with a gun" and the OP beat me to it!

First pic is with a .35 Remington Marlin and the second pic is a S&W M&P40.

There is more! I kayak, backpack, hunt, canoe, and spend time with my family. But that's most of it!

Like the OP I have been shooting since I was younger. This past summer I started shooting in USPSA competitions. I don't have any pics but here is a video I shot at a recent match.

My other hobby that I have been doing for years is flying RC helicopters and planes. I can't wait until spring to get back out there, winter blows!

Mmmmm Brisket on a Big Green Egg!

Ed thats awesome, 3 eggs! My brother has one, and did a turkey for thanksgiving last year, it was incredible.

Archery anyone?

I dunno man you look quite a bit different than I'd pictured you. More like a guy who would be riding in the BACK of a squad car. I mean jesus you don't even have a mustache. :D

I've done a bit of autocross racing, and dream of doing some proper road racing. I've even managed to go messing around Firebird in a Corvette, which was wicked fun.

Now I've got one little one at home, with another on the way, which means I barely have time for brewing, let alone other hobbies.

My obsessions are my kids, my kitchen, and my machinist trade. And guns! And unfortunately this forum :drunk:

This is a cool thread! I guess mine would be ATVing, RC planes and Heli's, guitar, kitchen, and soon to be kids!

Believe it or not I am actually on the job in this one:

I also like catchin' trouts

I also love to cook, but I don't usually have a photographer around the kitchen.

It's the 9 full size, i've installed the Apex trigger job, and just recently Dawson Precision fiber optic sites. This is my favorite pistol i've owned.

Jealous. I have the MA compliant 10.5lb trigger. Hopefully the Apex trigger kit is under the tree this :mug:

My family, tinkering, smoking (foods), smoking (tobacco too), gardening, photography, home improvement, bicycle strolling, gaming, and, right now, herpetology.

Don't worry, I'm one of the good ones - I stop at stop lights, I stay in my lane and I respect drivers and others on the road.

Mine is getting free samples. I get all sorts of things in the mail - shampoos, boxes of cereal, candy bars, vitamins. Lame I know. The coolest will be that Stella Artois glass that I posted about in another thread.

Besides that exercise and occasionally some hiking, but those are more to support the effects of my homebrewing hobby. I would like to try cheesemaking sometime though.

Edit: I see that the thread says to show the hobbies. I'll dig up some hiking pictures when I get home

I would post a pic of obcession. which would of been my bike in pieces in my garage, but im not to sure where it is floating around right now. Currently it is a '00 Ducati Monster 900 S with a Tail chop, hidden Plate, Carbon Remus High Mounts, Clip Ons, Bar end mirrors/ turn signals, integrated LED tail light with sequential turn signal........ and im sure there are many other things i forgot in there.

This is my sailplane. I got it in 2007 and changed the contest number and registration.

This was right after my first flight in her. The grin was stuck for a few days afterword.

This was from about 13000 feet just north of Canon City Colorado heading northeast. The mine at Cripple Creek is just to the left with Pikes Peak right off the nose and about 20 miles.

I cook for a living and as a hobby. My kids keep me busy, we LOVE comic books, Super Heroes, long boarding (they are usually on their bikes) camping, fishing and motorcycles (mostly road bikes mainly cruisers but my son is about ready for his first dirt bike) reading is always fun. My Wife crafts a LOT and sometimes I assist in a project ( like making labels for my Mead!) nothing too overly Awesome tho:)
