Mostly for aesthetic reasons. Just looks cool. Side note, I too am originally from the Monterey area. 8th & Main in Carmel specifically.

Put together a few tonight, not sure about the font on the last one though.

I generally like oval-shaped labels as opposed to the wrap-around rectangular ones. Might try doing a rough multicolor paint job on my bottles instead of printing off labels each time.

It's a pumpkin samurai, not a knight though. More for concept.

Putting the QR code on labels is a neat idea.

I think a lot of people do it because it looks cool, but it also helps keep oxygen out if you're planning on aging the beer for many years.

How would I do this process myself? where would I get the wax?

I plan to store a few bottles for a year or two maybe more

You can get the wax at your LHBS, most likely. Put the pan of wax in another pan of boiling water to melt it. Then dip the bottles in.

Sounds like it's pretty easy, thanks a lot guys

I like this one a lot. The way the brewery badge sits on top of the background picture looks real nice. I don't think I like it as a concept, meaning I don't think I'd like most labels that would do that. But in this instance it has a good feel to it.

Rambling over... nice label :mug:

I won't be bottling for a while yet. I plan on bulk aging this one for a couple of years. But I already have a label designed, let me know what you think:

Edit: I am now thinking that a big red pi symbol (π) instead of the pie would look better. What do you think? I'll try to make the change to the label soon and post it instead.

Awesome label! How did you cut out around the image? By hand, or some kind of computer-controlled device?

Thanks! All cut out by hand. Slow process, but worth it in the end

I think it was mesquite. Lol

I was thinking of changing it to that instead of twisted palm. There are a lot of "twisted" stuff in the market place. Trying to be unique lol.

Any meaning for yellow rose?

BTW now that I think about I think the mesquite is correct

Yes the Yellow rose has a meaning. I have a yellow rose that I got from my great grandmothers funeral. She was very dear to me and an awesome lady. I still have that rose and have it tattooed on my arm. Plus the name is fitting for Texas.

That's deep. You should make a back label with the meaning on it. One of the reasons I like Stone beers so much is that their bottles have a long paragraph on it.
