I have extra grains left over from other brews I need to use up befor they get stale. I just got some malt gems and was going to throw them in with it but I dont want something that's gonna make me puke lol

5# malt gems
8oz German Munich
8oz Vienna
4oz german pilsen
Mash at 152 and hop it with ekg or hallertau mittelfrueh

2.5 gallon batch

Is this a bad idea I'm still kinda new at this

Cheers!

Pretty safe with those grains and hops. Should work to a low ABV pale beer.

The ingredients all sound good together, but in my system 6.25 pounds of grain for 2.5 gallons would give a very strong beer, unpleasantly so for the style. (And efficiency on the malt gems is ... higher than usual?)

Sorry. Did not notice the batch size.

My efficiency is usually around 70 to 75% I'll bump up the batch size and run it through the calculator on brewers friend. Thanks for the input guys I'll let you know how it turns out. By the way what style are you referring to I'm just dumping grains together didn't think it was a style
