Hi all,

So I'm going through my first ever brew... currently fermenting in my basement since Sunday afternoon.

Monday - I see lots of action in the airlock.
Tuesday (today) - I see no action in the airlock

Should I be concerned?

I currently have a heating belt around my ferm bucket, connected to a temperature controller which is set to 72°c. My basement ambient temp is around 65°F

Thanks for your thoughts!

No concern necessary. You had plenty of activity within 24 hours, and now not so much. All that means is you had a good primary fermentation, and now the yeast have slowed down a bit to start the next phase in their careers, cleaning up the mess they made from the party they had (kinda like teenagers before the parentals get home and find out). Whatever you do, DON'T DISTURB THEM. You want them to get their work done without any interruptions. Give it a few more days then check your gravity, and of course taste the sample. Test again a day or two later, if your gravities match they are done and you can package. Sounds like you've got something good going! Good luck!

I give mine a little rock if they look like they've stopped a bit early

looks like a good temp - that's the main thing at that stage
