Should I be concerned about my lose keg lid?

I don't know; if it's not leaking, I'd probably leave well enough alone, but I'd check it every day with some StarSan or dish soap spray. Once it's done carbonating, release pressure and reseat.

The seal is made by the internal pressure against the large o-ring, not the bail.
But you could stick a penny (or another shim) under the feet for a more positive clamp down, say, when naturally carbonating. Or bend the legs somewhat "downward" using a vice and a hefty vice grip. Pad the jaws!
