My son has requested two soda kegs of my beers for his rehearsal party soon. I'll have the beer carbed and will transport the kegs flat in a 150 qt marine cooler covered with ice. Will take my CO2 tank and regulator with a Wye valve with two ball lock gas connectors. I have one picnic faucet so I'll need one more.

I am thinking what would be an effective container to put the two kegs in standing upright and filling with ice for the event. I was thinking a new plastic trash can but am looking for ideas if anyone has done this before? I remember the 15G keg ice buckets at frat parties, but I think these soda kegs need a smaller diameter and taller container to keep ice up high.

.I've seen a build on here where someone used the 65 or 95 gallon rolling trashcans for a portable keggerator. I forget if he had taps or not. I think he had a piece of wood with them mounted. Or maybe I'm thinking he did and visualizing. But he said it was a good way of doing it because you could load in 2 kegs and ice and roll it to where you were setting up.

I don't think the kegs sitting out of the ice will be a problem, kegs pump from the bottom up... so as long as atleast 2/3 of the keg is sitting in ice, or in a ice bath you should be fine... if not put them on the JB/JD/MM and Coke route. Or tell them the wine tastes great. Cheers :mug:
