No love for Wataru, Maneki or
Tsukushinbo?

I haven't been to Maneki, regrettably. Doesn't it have the distinction of being one of, if not the oldest restaurant in Seattle? Or something? I know Wataru only because it's next to Salare. And never heard of Tsukushinbo but now I want to go.

I live pretty close to Wataru, been a couple times. Only done specific rolls and not omakase but it's really solid. I'm more of a ramen, tempura and okonomiyaki kinda guy.

Maneki has been operating for over 100 years, it's worth going. They do traditional Japanese food, not just sushi, as well as western inspired stuff. They claim to have created the spicy tuna roll.

But rauchbier!

Rauchbier will be there for weeks.

You guys have been great. Steve you got time for a pint? After this week I feel like I owe you a beer.

So after touching down in the mid-late afternoon tomorrow, we are hitting Pike's area. Where is a good pint spot there?

I live in Austin if you’re ever in my neck of the woods lol! ;)

I’m just in Seattle 2-4x a year for work.

Mirage are crushing it at the moment, the Kveik IPA and Pink Mink DIPA are superior slurrypours. Yet to track down Raon Lutha but definitely ISO

What about their Saisons and pricey bottles? Have yet to fork out the $20 for a bottle. But, will be in Bellingham next weekend and could grab one. Very excited to go to garden path.

First I'm hearing of Mirage, I feel out of the loop.

They've been around for about a year now brewing out of Lower Case's facility. Great canned IPAs and lagers/pilsners and they do large format saisons.

Their Ski Mask Helles Lager is one of my favorite beers of the year.

I am taking it as a sign that this is the first I've ever heard of Mirage, and Belmont Station just tweeted that they put on two of their beers (Pink Mink and Raon Lutha). Going to have to do some research.

I don't think their beers had been in Oregon before now. Pretty much only hazy IPAs, but if you like that style they're damn good.

Noticed that about Belmont too. May be swinging by there later to try some.

I'll be researching it tomorrow for sure during the Alesong event.

I'll likely swing by - I land from London at 5.30 and will need a quick stop in Queen Anne to drop my bags and freshen up, so I assume by the time I get there, it'll be standing room only and everyone will be hammered

Anyone planning on Masonry Fremont's 1st anniversary party this Saturday?
Been to a handful of the Masonry Fremont events, and it seems they still haven't figured out how to handle crowded events. Maybe I'm getting too old for these no-elbow-room events.

Excited about the Fremont B-Bomb variant release:
