Hey,

It pays to keep your eyes open.

I saw 2 19L glass carboys on the neighbour's curb side by the in-laws place.
We got them, and as it turns out, they had 2 more to give me once they saw us
taking them.
All were is mint conditon and have been washed.
That made my day.

Some people have all the luck! The only thing folks leave out here are rusty combines.

Believe me, when farmers around here are done with a piece of equipment, you'd have to re-smelt it. It's that rusty!

I know the deal....
We still used Massy-Harris planters for corn upto the late 80's.
I think it belonged in a museum, not on the field. But it still worked!

I just have to keep a look out for a stainless steel kettle.

Cheers,

Just get a Gleaner. They're galvanized, so they never rust. They may not work worth a crap, but they won't rust.

I grew up in a die-hard Case IH farm family. We always made fun of the neighbors who used Gleaners.

The John Deere guys were just sheep, following the crowd :)
