I've been doing closed transfer kegging for a while and find a decent scale really helps. It tells me when and how fast beer is flowing into the keg (cause I brew a lot of dry hopped IPAs and flow can't be assumed) and tells me when my keg is about full.

I bought this shipping scale of Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078BDJWRF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and it worked pretty well for awhile but mostly now just tells me it is unstable and when it does start to work the numbers drift. I suspect it hasn't liked occasional beer spills. When it worked I loved having it and now that it doesn't I'm looking for replacement. Anybody have a brand or model they'd like to recommend? I also use it to weigh bulk grains but have smaller scale for hops and salts so I'd probably rate durability and reliabilty as more important than absolute accuracy (+/- 2oz would be plenty accurate).

I've been very pleased with this one. I mash/boil in the same vessel and it sits on this scale so I know exact volume all the time. Use it for closed transfers, weighing grains, etc. Its had very little drift in the measurement (.2 lb over the entire brew day), and no "auto-off" which is very nice. Would be nice to have better than .1lb accuracy, but with a range of 400lbs I can't complain too much and use a second more accurate scale for hops/adjuncts.

With the kettle directly on it I noticed it's very sensitive to temperature variations, so there's a layer of insulation between the scale and kettle now. Works like a charm.

fwiw, I bought one of these in 2016. It looks remarkably similar to the OP's but it's been solid.

For measuring water additions and hops, I bought one of these in 2016 as well:
https://www.amazon.com/Smart-Weigh-Digital-Back-Lit-Features/dp/B00IZ1YHZKIt's a little high resolution marvel, perfectly suited for the small tasks...

Cheers!

Thanks - I looked at your scale and does look to be the same Chinese product with different branding. I read the reviews on your scale on Amazon and came across a guy that explained the problem isn't the scale but the super cheap cord between the scale and the display. I picked up a new "handset" cord at Ace (was Monster brand) and it worked like a charm and fixed my old scale for $5.
