I bought a brand new 4912m that is not cooling. Before i resort to returning it, I thought I'd ask if anyone here has experienced a similar problem. The fridge plugs in and sounds like its running fine, the lights work, and there is no visible damage to any of the parts. I can turn the compressor off with the temperature knob near the light, but it does not cool on any of the "on" settings.

the metal line running behind the cold plate on the left-hand side is cool to the touch, but everything else remains room temp. When running, it makes a sound like water is dripping in the back.

I was getting ready to find the hotline on the top of the fridge prior to drilling, but even after 24 hours the fridge was not cooling. Tested it for 24-hour plus periods both with and without an external thermometer regulating it, but no dice.

Did I buy a dud?

have you tried putting anything in it yet? i find that mine doesn't seem like it's cooling when empty.
