Sanitizing auto siphon

Anyone have great way of cleaning and sanitizing auto siphons? I've thought about getting a length of maybe 2" PVC pipe cap one end of it and mount on a little stand? Is PVC food grade/cleaner/sanitizer safe? Would also work brew day with stir spoon.

I usually just pump cleaner through it for a minute or two. And then thoroughly rinse and then store parts until brewday. Then will pump starsan through it to sanitize before use.

Autosiphon in my bleach bucket on brewday. Then rinse in my normal water bucket. Cockroaches probably mate on it in between.

I use my squirt bottle of star-san on the outside and tubing, and then pump some sanitizer through it for the inside.
