I'm putting this in the General forum because when I search for "Utah" or "Salt Lake", one thread comes up.

I will be road tripping out there at the end of May/early June for a Ford ST Race School and I'm going to spend a few days hitting some disc golf courses and High West Distillery. Started looking for good beer spots around SLC and other than Epic seeming "ok", not much exciting out there. Anyone have intel that says otherwise?

Uinta makes solid beer, worth checking out while you're in town. I used to live in Salt Lake, there really isn't a lot to do beer wise.

Looking at the Peery Hotel downtown one evening, seems to be sort of between Red Rock Brewing and Epic. Looks like Squatters might be alright as well. Mapping out my trip now, looks like I may do two nights in Tooele for the race school, one night in Park City, one night in SLC.

Here are a few of the beer spots that I enjoyed on a trip to Salt Lake in Feb:

Beer Bar
Beerhive Pub
The Bayou
Epic Brewing
Bar-X
Squatters Pub/brewery

A few I didn't make it to but sounded promising:

Uinta Brewing
Whiskey Street
Brewvies Cinema Pub

Plenty of good food spots that are not beer related as well.
