Hoping to get some thoughts on this. Lost temperature control for 6-12 hours on a dark ale using Safale US05. Went up to 78 when I caught it. Was able to quickly reset breakers and bring temp back down to 60 F. Pitching occurred yesterday late afternoon with a starter. Should I be worried about any esters and other off-flavors being produced in that amount of time?

Thanks!

No, you shouldn't be worried, because you can not do anything about it now.

Wait it out and taste it. Perhaps it will be the best beer you ever had?

There were most likely some off flavors produced, but I wouldn't worry about it. Give it an extra week in primary for some extra cleanup if you're really concerned.
