I'm in the process of building an electric kettle with a PID (will use it as both a water heater for strike/sparge water AND a boil kettle). While heating water there will be no re-circulation (all gravity system). Will be using a Blichmann kettle with a Blichmann BoilCoil and an Auber PID. My question is, where should I mount the RTD (height, location, etc)?
