I was going to try the rolling keg to force carb tonight.

I filled the keg last night and purged twice. Then I put it in the fridge to chill.

By the time I get home it will be chilled. Should I put the CO2 on to 30PSI and roll it on the floor for a minute and then put back in the keezer?

When I've seen others doing this they didn't chill the keg first.

I was also going to give it another 24 hours with no pressure, then purge, then put on my normal 10PSI.

Can you? Sure. Should you? Probably not unless you are in a big hurry. It's really easy to overshoot your carb level that way. If you are just going to let it sit for a while anyway, you may as well just set it to serving pressure and wait. That way, you know it will be perfect.

IME the shaking rolling is a PITA. If your in a hurry, my advice would be to put the keg on 30 psi for 36 hours when first entering the kegerator. Then reduce to serving pressure, and vent the keg. Drink when it is to taste...

I watched the beer geek nation video and he set his to 30 and rolled it for 1 minute. I did the same. Checked it today and it's under carbed. I set it on 20 for another 12 hours.

Normally I do the 30 for 36 hours. Just thought I'd see what this rolling method is all about.

i did mine at 35psi, rolled for 15mins, serving pressure at 5psi, = awesome. could it be better, heck yeah, but still good beer for tasting and evaluating right now. better this sunday when i BBQ.

Was that keg chilled when you rolled it that long?
