I have been searching (in vain) for a good Rogue Chocolate Stout clone recipe for a while and have not seen any that I really wanted to try. Until, I opened my mailbox today and saw the latest BYO issue with American Stout in bold letters on the cover. I was like "Hells Yes". Even better was an American Stout "style profile" by Jamil with a Rogue Shakespeare Stout clone recipe. Too bad for me it is an all-grain and I am an extract/partial-mash full boil brewer. What is the proper way to convert an AG to extract? Also the AG recipe calls for a 90 min boil. Would that be necessary in an extract full boil? And or if anyone has a tried and true extract version of this that could work too.
