I found a recipe for an Octoberfest. When I plugged it into BeerSmith it came out with a high gravity, closer to 1.07. I had an extra half pound of wheat in that recipe that in the end I did not use, and my OG just now came out at 1.04. I'm rather pissed to say the least b/c I hate making beers that are not that strong. I am using a dry yeast too. Any tips or any way to boost this? I'm not too happy with BeerSmith right now; I've made PM beers in that past that turned out great. Thanks.
