When my last IPA was transferred, I collected 3 cups of US-05 slurry yeast cake. It's in a mason jar in the fridge and I want to make a starter with it for my next brew day. I have no experience washing or rinsing yeast, how much should I use to start my starter for an AG pale ale? It will be my usual 2 pints of water and 1 cup LDME ratio.
