I keg and usually have few bottles laying around. I just polished off a delicious sour from Wicked Weed - Medora on Blackberries and Raspberries. The sour was in a 500ml bottle that I'd like to use again, if I can. I have a Red IPA and Helles that I want to preserve for later, before the kegs 'float'.

Can I soak the bottle that held the sour in PBW along with the other 12oz bottles I'm going to clean and sterilize? Or should this bottle get recycled?

Thanks!

glass is fine for reuse, assuming you clean it properly.
It's the plastic that has a problem.

After PBW cleaning my glass bottles, I put them in the oven at approx. 340ºF for 60 minutes. That kills everything. I make sure that they all have aluminum foil "lids" so that they remain sterile until I fill them (basically the time it takes for them to cool down, then I begin the bottling process).

I soak them in hot washing soda (sometimes PBW) and use a bottle brush after they have cooled down a bit. Rinse well and Starsan. Glass is impervious to bugs.

Soooooo the bottles they use are some kind of French bottles and standard caps won't seal correctly. I know from experience, hope this saves you time in and effort.
